Comfort is a top priority at Gem Hats! Unlike most hat companies, we use elastic sweatbands in all of our hats to provide extra comfort.
We offer sizes from children's to XXL, so regardless of your head size, we've got you covered! ​
Step 2
Select your style
Choose your hat from our selection of materials, colors and shapes. We make our hats in house, so it won't be something you can find at other stores!

The Gem Hats team can customize your hat to make it uniquely perfect for you.
Styling options include brim trimming, brim and crown shaping, brim curling, western torching and more.
Step 3
Design your hat
Select your hat bands from our band boards curated of upcycled textiles.
Choose from upcycled options such as leathers, silks, suedes, and more.
If you have any special fabric that you would like to incorporate into your hat design, please feel free to bring it with you to your appointment!
Step 4
Add your flare
Feathers: Add extra character to your hat with our collection of sustainably sourced feathers.
Vintage gems: Gem Hats upcycles vintage gems, hat pins, clip on earrings and more to add a bit of shine to your hat!
Custom branding: Add your initials, a special symbol or ask our team to mock up a free-handed design to burn into your hat.
Materials & Pricing
Custom hat pricing includes your selection of 2-3 bands, 2-3 pieces of flare and 2-3 custom brands.
Hand-embroidery, jewelry hat bands, and premium gems are available at an additional cost.
Wool Felt
Custom: $250
Pre-Designed: $200
Gem Wools are made with high quality wool felt. We stiffen our wool felt hats so they maintain shape overtime. Great for fall, winter and chilly summer nights.
Canvas suede
Custom: $225
Pre-Designed: $175
Gem Suedes are made out of a canvas base material covered with suede. This makes for a very sturdy yet lightweight hat that never loses shape. Great for all seasons!
Panama Straw
Custom: $200
Pre-Designed: $175
Gem panama straws are handwoven hats made with jipijapa straw-the same material as the infamous Panama straws. Each hat takes between 8-15 days to weave. Great for spring & summer!
Palm Straw
Custom: $175
Pre-Designed: $125
Gem Palm Straws are handwoven as well, but are stiffened to maintain structure overtime. Great to spring, summer and fall!
